INSECTIFii is one of Asia’s first commercial-scale, insect farming businesses which  uses black soldier fly larvae to convert urban organic waste into high value insect protein. Breeding these unique insect require a contamination free & well monitored & controlled environments that are not susceptible to weather fluctuation.

How do they do this ?
Using Thingstels leading IoT solution over LoRA.
LoRa or Long Range devices are a new breed of smart IoT devices that wirelessly transmit small amounts data on short ranges using very low power. Their low power consumption makes it ideal for sensing parameters such as weather monitoring, air quality etc.

Thingstel’s Controlled Environment solution showcases the unique features of the LoRa Gateway enabling Inscetifii to create an inexpensive close climate monitoring solutions to breed larvae for a third of the price of traditional solutions. Our solution sensors monitor essential parameters such as Air Temperature, Pressure & Humidity round the clock only to capture & notify the parametric fluctuations that are detrimental the the breeding activity utilizing LoRa & the Thingstel Platform over web and mobile web.

LoRa devices and the open LoRaWAN® protocol enables Thingstel’s smart IoT applications to solve some of the biggest challenges facing our planet: energy management, natural resource reduction, pollution control, infrastructure efficiency, disaster prevention, and more.
